Participants Practice 4 Times Per Week for 1 hr 15 minutes with 15 additional minutes of dryland.

Swimmers in the group should be able to swim the 4 competitive strokes legally, as well as perform flip turns for freestyle & backstroke. They should also be able to swim the IM and perform the bucket turn, and complete the exit test set for Sagitta.

Main focus of the group is as follows:
•Emphasis on improving technique, drills & stroke mechanics, and endurance for all strokes (approx 1800 – 2800yds per practice)
•Pace and interval training

•Pace and interval training
•Drag training will be introduced
•Training for Elite Gulf Champs, Senior Gulf Champs & TAGS

Practice Times

Competitive groups swim in water Monday through Thursday from 6:15 PM. Dryland at Weekley Community Center offered from Bronze 2 Transition once a week as weather allows. Athletes age 13 and over invited to gym workout at Silver and above levels.

Basic Gear: Competition grade swimsuit, swim cap, goggles and towel

Blue Team Practice Cap and Black Competition Cap available for purchase at $15. Please see front desk.
