The 2023-2024 swim season is ready to begin for the next season. Last year, our competitive swimmers continued their progress by racking up stellar performances in the season’s TAAF meets. We have with several national qualifiers punching their ticket to San Diego in 2024 and still time for a few more to earn their way at the Winter Games this January. Now is a great time to for your athlete to come join us and discover the champion inside of them. You can begin the process by clicking the registration icon or going to New and Returning athletes and completing step 1.

We accept new swimmers year round by scheduling an evaluation most practice nights to determine a swimmer’s proficiency and place them in the correct group. Evaluations are free of charge and swimmers can tryout a practice on us. Just bring your swimsuit, a towel and goggles.

Athletes of the Month

January 2023

Brayan – Is a new addition to CTA only joining in December. Since joining, he has come in, and over January he has exploded due to his work ethic and hard work at practice. It has paid off. This has been seen in all his times since joining, both in High School, and at the TAAF Winter Games. Where he swam PB’s in all of his events, while qualifying for the State Games of America (Nationals) in San Diego, California in 2024.

Richard – New addition to CTA only joining in December. Although he is still relatively new to competitive swimming, since he has been swimming less than a year. He has made tremendous progress even though he got sick missing many practices prior to the TAAF Winter Games, he was still able to swim 2 PB’s, while equaling his time for his 3rd event. Which is a testament to his work ethic.

Khue – She has only been competing for just one year, and the strides she has made are tremendous. From the shy swimmer looking in awe at other swimmers, to the swimmer now being looked at in the same way. Her work ethic, and willingness to get better is second to none, hence it allowed her to qualify at the TAAF Winter Games, for the State Games of America (Nationals) in San Diego, California in 2024.

Jazzy – Even due to circumstances beyond her control, causing her to miss the first four months. This did not impact her. With only two weeks to prepare for TAAF, while moving up groups, she continued her one hundred percent record in qualifying for the State Games of America (Nationals) at all three TAAF Championship Meets CTA attended. Being the only CTA Age Group swimmer to achieve this feat, booking her place in San Diego, California in 2024.

February 2023

Alexandra – Although she is still relatively new to competitive swimming, she is progressing really well. Even when she hit a stumbling block, that was holding her back, she never gave up or complained. At the TAAF Winter Games, she swan all PB’s in all her events, massively shaving time in all. Then after her hard-work continued, and as result she over the hurdle barrier progressed up to Booster 2, and it won’t be a surprise if she moves up again soon.

Santiago – Although he is still relatively new to competitive swimming, with him only swimming competitively for less than a year. He has made tremendous improvements, while progressing in the lower Groups. This was evident at the TAAF Winter Games, where he swan all PB’s in his entered events. Then after his hard-work continued, and as result he has progressed up to the competitive side off the team moving up to Bronze.

Primrose – Even though she has only being competing for less than a year, she has made tremendous strides. She is a quiet and shy swimmer, that is consistently improving. At practice, she never fusses or complains. Her willingness to get better, and her hard work is paying off in her performances in the pool. Where she made top 16 in two events at the TAAF Winter Games, and swam PB’s in all her events.

Samuel – New addition to CTA only joining in December. Since joining he moved up from Booster 2 to Bronze in less than a week, and he has made tremendous progress. He also has the confidence, where he feels he is fast, and at the TAAF Winter Games, he swam PB’s in all his events, while making the podium in one event. Which only shows that with hard work, a good work ethic, and positive attitude all things are possible.
